What makes ALLtech different

As a non-profit association health trust, ALLtech brings tech companies together to access health coverage as one large group. This collective approach gives members the purchasing power of a big company—meaning lower costs, richer benefits, and more plan choices than what’s available to small businesses when they purchase plans on their own.

What is an association health plan?

An Association Health Plan (AHP) is a type of health insurance plan that allows small businesses or startups to band together through an association to buy health coverage as a group. Through our plan sponsors—GeekWire in Washington, and TAO in Oregon—ALLtech has negotiated favorable rates with preferred carriers to provide the most competitive, cost-effective plans available — helping you offer top-tier benefits at an affordable cost.

Companies eligible for ALLtech

Tech companies in Washington with 2 – 199 members, and tech companies in Oregon with 2 – 50 employees are eligible for ALLtech benefits. In Washington, our plan sponsor is GeekWire, and in Oregon our plan sponsor is Technology Association of Oregon (TAO). ALLtech has partnered with GeekWire to support their members with access to health insurance and other employee benefits. The ALLtech GeekWire health plans allow startups and growing tech companies to compete for talent with the largest tech employers in the region.

GeekWire serves as the central hub for startup information, business resources, and events for Washington’s technology startup community.

Founded in 2011, GeekWire brings the tech community together to connect and learn, and GeekWire members gain access to a variety of benefits including a job board, GeekWire conference discounts, ALLtech health benefits, among others. TAO

ALLtech has partnered with the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) in Oregon to support their members with access to health insurance and other employee benefits. With Moda Health medical plans specially designed for TAO members, partnered with ALLtech ancillary benefits and local plan administration allows startups and growing tech companies to compete for talent with the largest tech employers in the region.

Plan administration

ALLtech has contracted with Associated Industries Management Services (AIMS) to provide member companies with localized support and simplified administration. Located in Spokane, Washington, AIMS team members provide third-party administration of health benefits, and assists employers in guiding their employees through today’s healthcare maze.

Plan design

Advanced Professionals Insurance & Benefit Solutions is our Managing General Agent. Located in Seattle, Washington, they design ALLtech’s benefit packages, provide ongoing program management, and work with insurance producers/brokers to best meet the specific needs of their clients.
